Weekend in Review...

This is all the snow we've had at our house this winter.

And this is how I spent my evening last night - baking my favorite cookies and eating most of them. I've been in extreme discomfort lately and these felt like they'd help. When my doctor informed me this morning that I'm dialated to a "solid four" and basically ready to rock and roll here anytime, said discomfort made sense.

You will be great. I want some of those cookies...

BTW..I know I only had one birth and it was one thousand years ago, but I was at a 4 for almost a week I delivered (and hadnt' had any real contractions yet). The beauty of it was that I could get the epidural right as I was checking in (you have to be a 5 right). So that part was great.

I couldn't do what Nienie does. That is amazing. I don't have a problem with those that do it, but I am all about the hospital. :-) It is such a pain when babies come early, but it would be nice to already be HOME by the 7th, right? I think Lucy knows what is up.

We will be sending good labor thoughts your way.... How exciting!

Just because you want/need an epidural doesn't mean you're not brave. Enjoy the cookies...and keep us posted!

amen to ~j's comment. . .we're all brave women.

And I KNOW this will NOT be you, but I was a solid 4, "any day now", for over 2 weeks. . .ugh. I swore I was going to be in the grocery store and she would just drop out of me. . .the good thing was by the time it was "time", I got to the hospital at an 8! See, you've already skipped all that pre-labor 8 hours to get to a 4 business.

Here's to a quick labor (with enough time for an epidural of course)... my anesthesiologist had to move like lightnin'.
