We did a lot in the few days we were in Utah over Memorial Day. I absolutely LOVE the ages that my boys are at and the things that are so fun to them. I was so lucky to grow up around all my cousins and grandparents and even great-grandparents and family get-togethers were always so fun to me. So I love taking the boys back "home" and seeing how much fun they have with all their relatives.

The boys were totally into visiting the cemetery. My grandma was one of the greatest people in my life and she passed away after I got married. I get really sad that she's missed out on my kids, and that they missed out on knowing her. When we took flowers to her grave, there was my grandpa, all dressed up in a tie and everything with two buckets - one with tools to "clean up with" and the other full of flowers from his garden. We sat there while CJ did the flowers and my grandpa painstakingly trimmed the grass around the edges, then brushed and polished her headstone. So, so sweet.

One of my other wonderful grandmas has a dream house for grandkids - complete with a baby cow, a kitten, horses, cows, sometimes donkeys, and dogs. And for kids with totally random obsessions like mine, she has a WASHER and a DRYER and that's all Trey ever wants to do. I know.

Their dog Cougar is super old and super sweet. He meandered out to see us on his arthritic legs and cooperated perfectly while getting his portrait taken.

We had breakfast at this cute place with my parents where CJ ordered "The Flat Tire" which was a huge pancake.

The rhino rides with my dad where he scares them with Sasquatch stories up on the mountain and CJ obsesses over all the beer bottles on the trail.

My mom's new dog Cooper was a trip highlight.

Trey's second obsession is mowing and weed whacking the lawn. He bawled when he realized my father-in-law was going to mow the lawn and we had left his little lawn mower home. So I ran to Wal-Mart and bought him one for Utah.

And then let him do more laundry with his aunt!

We finished with a going-away party for my brother and sister-in-law who just moved across the country to North Carolina. We were sad to say goodbye to them and their three boys.
