Day #1 in Boise - a Recap:

Long drive. Read the Ensign.

Had dinner at a lovely Japanese restaurant, then threw up my miso and avocado roll in the bushes of the Meridian Elementary School.

Found some lovely homes that we'll actually tour tomorrow with our agent. I hope he doesn't mind pulling over every so often for me to throw up.  I'm miserably sick and it's making me not want to look at one more house.  I'm ready to give up.

I'm so sorry about everything: the Wrangler, the lovely Japanese food, the move :)

You are a trooper.

If it makes you feel better, I had a few friends in college and two friends here in SF that are from Boise and they are very hip and trendy and fun and smart. THey tell me that Boise is a little different then the rest of Idaho...

Can't wait to hear how the house hunting goes.

Valentines Day. So fun.

I will put new pictures up soon. Right now sleep is my priority. Three kids is kicking my a**. Not sure why, it is technically only one more child, but it feels like I have 42 more children in my home......

Ok. Seriously. I've been wanting to re-try bananna clips. I can see their resurrection in the future and I want to ride that wave first.

You experiencing Idaho shock. Good night and good luck. (Buy a captain's hat...it might help a little.)

Oh please tell me that it was a side ponytail in the banana clip. Love it.

Don't let that elementary school say you never did anything for them!!

This is me said...

Don't feel bad. My husband threw up on the wall of the Boise temple once. I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure that's an automatic rejection from the Celestial Kingdom.

PS-CJane's right about Idaho shock. I had it, too. It does go away (mostly), I promise.

p.s. Banana clips are back, but not if you wore them the first time. If you are still wearing them, hoping against hope that they'll come back, although your dreams have come true, you are too old to be wearing them. Step away from the banana clip and no one will get hurt. You are not hip, you do not listen to The Bravery, and those plastic earrings are NOT ironic.

I still can't believe you guys are moving, to Idaho no less. As a native, may I be the first to officially welcome you to our culture. As you have already detected, we do things differently. For starters, most of us like to start our sentences with random cuss words. For example, "Well hell, I think we should go to the DQ."

Additionally, take note that Boise is a cool town - quite hip. The property values are appreciating like crazy, so get in there, make bank, and move right on back so our kids can hang.
