Sleepover with Lauren and Anna!

Anna (age 5): "You're a mom and you don't have a fat butt. Most moms I know have a really fat butt. It's wierd."

Lauren (age 8): "This girl in my class is from New York City. She has a huuuuuge wart on her arm. Everytime the teacher asks a question I PRAY she doesn't know the answer so she won't raise her hand and expose me to that disgusting wart."

Lauren (in the car after Anna gave her a fat lip fighting over prizes won at Classic Skating): "I'm going to starrrrrve to death without the use of my lips and won't be able to eat my favorite food anymore. Mangos. Of course, I usually only eat those at baby showers and fancy dinners."

We moved on Monday. One large U-Haul truck, three SUVs and a sedan trunk-full later, we arrived at our new home in Draper. And I love it but poor lucy is sad and anxious. Hopefully she adjusts soon!

C.J. is 2!

It's hard to believe that two years ago almost to the minute I'm posting this that you came into the world at full force. You're in the highest percentile for your heigth. In fact, most people think you're almost three. You still won't sit in a high chair, wear a bib, be good at church, or go to sleep without lots and lots of rocking and talking but I love it because you're so smart and so sweet.
But these are the things I love about you because, as you've exibited since the day you came into this world (well, even before that since you were a total suprise and then made me sick every single day of the nine months I carried you), you've exibited many, many strong personality traits that I'm convinced will help you in your adult life. Determination is a great quality. So is humor. And cleverness. Well, who knows where that will take you!
An
d thanks for asking for "chee-burger french fries" for your birthday because Training Table has been calling my name. And what other 2 year-old can say he had a birthday party with the U of U Offensive Line? They came to your birthday lunch because they get such a kick out of you. And you gave them a show.
Each day is an absolute joy with you and I love, love, love you so much. Thanks for the big "squeeeeeeeeeeze" this morning. It made my day. I'm lucky you decided to come into the world when you did. Dad and I wouldn't have it any other way. Happy birthday my "little man." I love you more than anything in the world.

XOXO,
Mommy

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE! Chad is gone for the Fiesta Bowl so it's just me and my little man celebrating tonight!

All I Want for Christmas is a Bowl Game Victory in San Francisco
And for Chad reach more than 100 yards receiving. That's him on the replay screen doing just that.

And to have a happy family with visions of the underdog beating the nation's #24-ranked team with the #10-ranked defense 38 to 10 dancing in their heads. My dear #18 has never lost to "The Team Down South" in Cougar Town. He's also been to and won 4 bowl games, including the BCS Fiesta Bowl. Pretty awesome! So proud of him!

A Christmas Sampler C.J. hogging the Chocolate Fountain.
Grandpa mopping up after "someone" jammed the chocolate fountain creating the same affect an electric mixer does when you raise it out of the dough you're mixing and it flies EVERYWHERE.

C.J. Christmas morning at Grammy's moments BEFORE he dove onto the bed, hitting the footboard and giving himself a huge goose egg.

C.J. AFTER hitting his head on the bed, creating the need to hug "Brutie the Cat" for comfort, who scratched him.

Me and C.J.

Happy (but sad) cousins whom I love dearly right after the candelight tribute we did at Cindy's grave. Happy birthday SMAMU, we miss you more than any of us could ever say. Around-the-World ping pong will never be the same withought you.
M.E.R.R.Y C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S. Sveeehaaaaat, I love you.

Oh Holy Night

We went to see the lights at Temple Square.
C.J. likes to see the temple and seems to spy them everywhere. Like, the Matheson Court House and the City Council building downtown. "Pemple!" he yells as we pass them each morning of our commute.

The night was beautiful. Barely snowing. Lovely, spiritual music in the air. CJ didn't want to ride in his stroller, he wanted to "WALK!!!!"
